- Terms and Conditions of use of our website
By accepting these Terms and Conditions you agree that:
- You have the right to make this agreement with us and that you are over the age of 16 years.
- You will read the terms and conditions on any site we link you to.
- You won’t use robots, spiders, scrapers or similar things on the Site.
- You won’t try to get around any things we put on the Site to stop or limit access to parts of it.
- You won’t do anything that might cause our systems to crash.

When registering and creating an Account with OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE you agree that:
- You will only have one Account with us
- You are over the age of 16
- All information you submit is accurate, truthful and up-to-date
- You will not share your Account with anyone else.
- Account details should not be shared with anyone else. It is the sole responsibility of the user to keep these Account details confidential
- When exiting the site, You will log off
- Your username shall not be offensive, suggest that you are someone else or that you represent a trade or brand name. We reserve the right to change a username if we think it breaks this term.
We reserve the right to close your Account if we feel any of these Terms and Conditions have been broken or if your Account has been inactive for 12 months. If you have not authenticated your current email address with us and/or if it cannot accept service emails from us and/or you mark our emails as spam, abusive or junk, then we reserve the right to close your account.
If we suspect you have committed fraud, we may report those actions to the Police and the money standing to the credit of your account may be returned to any merchants involved or kept by us to cover the costs we are put to in dealing with your fraud.
www.offthehangerdresshire.com is a site operated by OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE (“We”). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 11754504 and have our registered office at 43 Winston Drive, Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham, United Kingdom, KT11 3BP.

We may update and change our site from time to time to reflect changes to our products, our users’ needs and our business priorities.
We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
- Rental Terms
The following are the Terms and Conditions which apply when we supply our garments to You. Please read these carefully before you submit your order to us.

- Acceptance of Contract
By placing an order on www.offthehangerdresshire.com you, the user, are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions contained herein. The user is liable for all fines payable under the terms of this contract.
Our acceptance of your order will take place once you receive your confirmation email, at which point a contract will come into existence between you (the user) and us (“OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE”). We will assign an order number to your order, which can be found in the confirmation email. Should you need to contact us, it would be useful if you could state your order number.
If it is not possible for us to accept your order, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and we will not charge you for the product. This could occur if the product is out of stock, the product was not returned by the due date, unexpected limits on our resources which we were unable to plan for, errors in the price or description of the product, or because we are unable to meet the delivery deadline specified by the user.
We only rent to the UK. Unfortunately, we do not accept orders from or deliver to addresses outside the UK.
- Our Products
Please be aware that products may vary slightly from their pictures. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device’s display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products. Your product may vary slightly from those images.

You can find the costs of delivery displayed on our website. We send our items via UK Royal Mail.
Delivery times and dates provided by OFF THE HANGER to the user are estimates only and may vary based upon inventory availability, your delivery address, when you place an order and other circumstances impacting delivery. Accordingly, OFF THE HANGER makes no guarantees as to actual delivery time.
Deliveries are performed by third parties. If you or any other person is not available at your address to take the delivery, a note will be left informing you of how to rearrange the delivery or collect the product from your local depot. If after a failed delivery you do not re-arrange delivery or collect them from a delivery depot, we will contact you for further instructions and may charge you for storage costs and any further delivery costs. If we are still unable to contact you to re-arrange delivery or collection we may end the contract. We are not liable for any failed deliveries caused by you as a customer.
- Rental period and returns policy
Our rental periods vary from 4 days or 8 days, which commence from the day the User receives their item and shall continue until OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE items are dropped off at a Royal Mail Post Office.
If Apparel has not been returned by 2pm on the designated Rental return date at a Royal Mail Post Office, then OFF THE HANGER are entitled to charge additional hire fees to the users’ credit/debit card provided at the time of the original rental.
For each day that the dress is late, we will charge 50% of the rental cost until the dress is returned or 150% of the retail cost is paid back. If the User has not returned the item after 10 days, we will assume the item will not be returned and charge 150% of the retail price stated on the website.
If the User pays OFF THE HANGER an amount equal to 150% of the recommended retail value (as stated on the product page) in late fees and the user still has the item in their possession, then the item(s) is the users to keep.
The leased item is and will at all times remain the absolute property of OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE LTD. The User accepts full responsibility for the apparel during the rental period.
- Damages & Theft
The user is solely responsible for the apparel they have rented and are therefore liable for any damage or loss that occurs during the rental period, regardless of whether the user is personally responsible for the damage they remain liable for the replacement of this item.
We expect you to take good care of our products, minor spillages and small marks are inevitable and we have high quality dry cleaners on hand who clean all the dresses when we receive them back to our offices, however if a product is returned in a damaged or dirty condition that exceeds normal wear and tear, as determined by the OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE team in its sole discretion, you agree that OFF THE HANGER may charge you for the repair cost of a product if damaged or stained. We also hold the right to charge you the full cost of replacing such products if ruined beyond repair.
The product replacement fee will vary depending on each dress, taking into account the demand for the dress, our ability to purchase a replacement, the condition of the dress, and the rental fee that the user has already paid.
You should not alter or make any additions to the dress or in any other manner interfere with the dress during your hire period. If You do, we have the right to charge you the repair cost or full cost of replacing the dress.
Under no circumstances are customers to attempt to clean any products themselves (dry clean, cold wash, iron or any other way). If done so, we reserve the right to charge the customer for part or full replacement value of the dress if any damage is done to the product.
- Sizing Issues/Faulty Garments
Sizing charts will be available on each of the product pages. Please follow these when ordering from OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE, taking into account that each designer’s sizing may vary. If a product does not fit, you can return it, “unworn” with the tags still attached within 48 hours to receive an exchange or store credit of the hire fee minus the delivery charge.

To qualify for an exchange or store credit, garments must be “unworn”, with the corresponding tags still attached. If the team at OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE, consider the item has been “worn” you will be charged for your rental.
When using store credit, please not that delivery fees will still apply.
It is your responsibility to inspect your garment upon arrival. If you believe your garment is faulty when you receive it, you must notify us of any damage within 4 hours of delivery of the garment, otherwise you may be responsible for the damage and you may be charged if we are not notified within this time period or sent photographic evidence of the damage.
- Cancellation policy
If the User cancels an order up to three weeks prior to their chosen delivery date they are entitled to receive a full refund. Orders cancelled with within the three weeks’ notice period are still liable to pay the rental fee, however the delivery fee will be refunded. In some circumstances OFF THE HANGER may need to cancel an order before it has been dispatched to the user. This could include but is not limited to: if the apparel ordered has not been returned/or has been returned damaged by a previous customer, or if the User in question has given us cause to be concerned about their suitability to receive future rentals (e.g. frequent late returns, theft or damaged items) In the unlikely case that we have to cancel your order, you will not be charged, or if the payment has already been taken, you will receive a full refund or the option to exchange it for another outfit.
If you wish to exchange a garment, it must be returned in the pre-paid packaging with tags still attached, to a Royal Mail post office within 48 hours of receipt. If the tags have been removed, we will assume the dress has been worn and you will still be charged.
Once you have selected the outfit you would like to exchange your original item for, taking into consideration that it is available for your event date. – please email email@example.com so that we can issue your exchange as soon as possible. If there is a difference in cost of the two exchanged items, we will charge/refund the difference to the card provided at the original purchase date.
Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds on orders within the three week notice period. Please refer to our cancellation policy for more details.
- Price and payment
The price of the rental will be the price indicated on the order pages at the time of purchase however Off THE HANGER reserves the right to change prices at any given time.
When renting a garment from OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE you will be required to provide us with accurate and current credit card information for a valid credit/debit card that you are authorised to use. By signing up for the service, you are authorising OFF THE HANGER to bill your credit card the applicable fees, shipping charges, any and all applicable taxes, and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of our website and dress hire. The applicable fees will be charged to your credit/debit card. If the item is not returned on the due return date agreed when the purchase was made, OFF THE HANGER has the right to charge a late fee your credit card, as stated in the returns policy
We use Stripe to process our payments and therefore accept almost all major credit and debit cards. You must pay for the products at the point of reservation.
If OFF THE HANGER does not receive payment from your credit card provider or if your credit card expires or is rejected, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand. If anything remains unpaid by you after 7 days from the date of demand, you authorise OFF THE HANGER to charge any outstanding fees and other amounts due to us in accordance with these Terms and Conditions against any credit card you have on file with us, including but not limited to the credit card, which details are specified above.
OFF THE HANGER DRESS HIRE reserves the right to take all steps necessary to collect amounts due from you, including but not limited to legal action and/or using third party collection agencies.
In the case that a payment sent from OFF THE HANGER to your bank account is refused, you have 28 days to supply us with an alternative bank account. If after 28 days of us asking you do not supply us with alternative bank account details, we may keep that payment to cover our costs and you will be entitled to nothing.
