To hire a dress, simply browse through our collection of designer dresses, until you find the one perfect for your event. 

Then, select your delivery date and rental period – either 4 or 8 days. If you need the dress for longer, for a holiday for example, just contact our team at enquiries@offthehangerdresshire.com and this can be arranged for you! 

Your selected dress will then arrive to your door on your chosen delivery date and it’s all yours to enjoy for 4 or 8 days! 

To be safe, we recommend you select a delivery date 2 days before your event, to allow time to arrange an exchange if necessary.  

To return the dress, simply place it in the re-sealable bag provided, with the returns label stuck on and drop it off at your nearest Post Office free of charge. Please note that this should be dropped at the Post Office by 2pm on your selected return date. 

Our rental periods vary from 4 days or 8 days. If you would like a dress for longer, for example a holiday, please don’t hesitate to email enquiries@offthehangerdresshire.com and we will be able to arrange something for you. 

Your rental period begins the day your dress is delivered and you will need need to return it to your nearest Post Office by 2pm on your selected return date. 

It is important that you return your dress by the allocated return date, as this then prevents us from delivering the outfit to our next customer on time. Unfortunately, if you’re not able to return it by your specified return date, a late fee will apply. 

If your dress doesn’t fit, we will be more than happy to exchange the dress for another or give you store credit. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on our dresses. 

If you decide to exchange the dress, please ensure you leave enough time for the dress to be delivered before your event date. 

When returning your dress for an exchange, please make sure that the tag is still attached to the dress as we wont be able to offer an exchange or store credit if the item has already been worn.

No, please do not attempt to clean or iron any of the dresses yourself. Once you’ve returned your dress we will send it straight to the dry cleaners and take care of that for you. If you do try and clean the dresses or iron them yourself, we reserve the right to charge you for part or full replacement value of the dress if there are any damages to the dress. 

If need to steam your dress before your event, please use an official clothes steamer, or hang it in a bathroom with the hot shower running, away from the water, for several minutes. Unless the clothing label says different please do not attempt to iron any garments, as you will be liable to pay any damage fees caused by irons. 

We expect that you will take good care of our outfits, however minor spillages and small marks can happen and we have a team of high quality dry cleaners on hand who clean all our dresses when we receive them back to our offices. However, if a product is returned in a damaged or dirty condition that we feel exceeds normal wear and tear, we may need to charge you a fee for the extra dry cleaning. If the dress is beyond repair, we reserve the right to charge you for the full retail price of the dress. 

Standard delivery is £5, which includes delivery, returns and a dry cleaning fee. However, we also offer a next day delivery for £8, which also includes delivery returns and the dry cleaning fee. 

If you opt for standard delivery, your dress will arrive to you by 5pm on or before your chosen delivery date via Royal Mail. If you select next day delivery your dress will get to you on the next working day. Once your outfit arrives, this will be the first day of your rental period. 

When ordering your outfit, you can select any working day for your delivery. We do recommend you choose a delivery day at least 2 days before you require the outfit, to leave time to arrange an exchange if necessary.

If your return date falls on a Sunday or a Bank holiday, please post your return back to us by 2pm the following day. 

Unfortunately, if your dress is returned late, it prevents us from delivering it to our next customer on time. In this case, late fees will apply. For each day that the dress is late we will charge 50% of the rental cost each day until 150% of the retail cost has been paid. If you have not returned the item after 10 days, we will assume the item will not be returned and charge 150% of the full retail price of the outfit as stated on the website. After you have been charged 150% of the full retail price, the dress is yours to keep. 

Please note, that the rental period commences on the first day that you receive the dress and should be returned at your local Post Office by 2pm on the last day of your selected rental period. If you don’t return it by this last day, you will be liable to pay our late fees. 

If you are unable to return your outfit on time, please let us know as soon as possible so we can inform the next customer. 

Your returns label can be found online. Simply re-print it and stick it onto the re-sealable bag. 

When ordering a dress, please remember to check the size chart, which are specific to different designers. This will have all dress sizes included. To avoid dresses not fitting, please take extra care when using the size chart. 

We want you to be 100% confident and happy with your selection, so you can look your best for your event. If you don’t like your dress, we will be more than happy to exchange the dress for another or give you store credit. If you decide to exchange the dress, please make sure you leave enough time for the dress to be delivered before your event date. Please make sure when you return your dress that the label is still attached to the dress as we wont be able to offer any exchange or store credit if not.

At Off the Hanger Dress Hire, we will always maintain the highest standards. Our dresses are professionally cleaned after every use, therefore although the dresses might not be brand new, they will always be as close to new as possible. We will never send you something that looks worn, which is why we ask you kindly, to look after the dress whilst it’s in your possession. 

If you receive a dress, which doesn’t meet your standards, please email us on enquiries@offthehangerdresshire.com

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that no wrinkles will appear during postage. If need to steam your dress before your event, please use an official clothes steamer, or hang it in a bathroom with the hot shower running, away from the water, for several minutes. If you change your mind and would like to cancel your order, please email us on enquiries@offthehangerdresshire.com 

In order to receive a full refund, this must be done 3 weeks prior to your chosen delivery date. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund orders cancelled within the 3 weeks’ notice period, you will however receive a refund on your delivery fee. In this case, you will receive store credit for the cost of the rental of the outfit. 

If you decide you want to keep the dress, you will be liable to pay 150% of the outfit’s retail value. 

At the end of the season, we may hold a sale, where customers can purchase dresses at a discounted price. 

In the case that you want to keep your outfit for longer, but haven’t booked this in advance, please email us on enquiries@offthehangerdresshire.com and we will check if this is possible. 

Please do email us, as if you do not, and decide to just keep the dress for a longer period you will be liable to pay our late fees.
